Medical Records Seized in Raid at Clinic Linked to Maradona’s Treatment

Buenos Aires, May 8, 2025:
Investigators have raided a private clinic in the outskirts of Buenos Aires as part of an ongoing probe into the death of Argentine football legend Diego Maradona. During the operation, authorities seized crucial medical records related to Maradona’s treatment in the days leading up to his death.

The raid was carried out amid growing concerns over possible medical negligence. Investigators recovered documents including medical histories, prescriptions, drug administration records, and surveillance footage. The authorities believe these materials could provide important evidence in determining whether there was malpractice or oversight in Maradona's care.

A member of the investigation team stated, “We are committed to uncovering the truth. This raid marks a significant step forward in our efforts to fully understand the circumstances surrounding Maradona’s death.”

Previously, several doctors and nurses involved in Maradona’s care had been questioned, and some were accused of failing to provide adequate medical attention.

Maradona passed away on November 25, 2020, reportedly due to cardiac arrest. However, questions have persisted over the quality of medical treatment he received during his final days. His family and fans have consistently demanded justice and transparency.

To many Argentinians, Maradona is more than a footballer—he is a national icon. Authorities have emphasized their commitment to uncovering the full truth behind his untimely death.
